A Validation Method for EPID In Vivo Dosimetry Algorithms

The aim of this study was to develop and apply an evaluation method for assessing the accuracy a novel 3D EPID back-projection algorithm in vivo dosimetry. Dosimetry Check (DC) 5.8 evaluated. A slab phantom homogeneously filled, or with air bone inserts, used fluence reconstruction different squared fields. VMAT plans anatomical sites were delivered on anthropomorphic phantom. Dose distributions measured radiochromic films. 2D Gamma Agreement Index (GAI) between DC film dose (3%, 3 mm) computed algorithm. GAIs films TPS also computed. within 2% all fields three slabs’ configurations. GAI 92.7% prostate, 92.9% lung, 96.6% head neck, 94.6% brain.
